Unemployment Best Practices

Attendees will receive an overview of employers’ best practices with respect to handling employee separations, events leading up to separations, and how employers might mitigate any potential unemployment insurance claims. Topics will include the importance of documentation, the different kinds of separation (such as discharges, layoffs, seasonal employees, voluntary quits/resignations), and any special circumstances leading up to the final incident. The training will also delve into preparing for and proper protocol concerning unemployment claim hearings.
