Attendees will receive an overview of employers’ best practices with respect to handling employee separations, events leading up to separations, and mitigating any potential unemployment insurance claims. Topics include the importance of documentation, the different kinds of separations (such as discharges, layoffs, seasonal employees, and voluntary quits/resignations) and any special circumstances leading up to a final incident. The training will also delve into preparing for and proper protocol concerning unemployment claim hearings.
