Scope of Services

The contract will encompass all project-related services to the lower turf area, including but not limited to the following:

  • Provide and install a top dressing of approved athletic field compost to the existing full size (lower) field surface. Assume 60 yards of athletic field approved turf compost. Provide information about the approved athletic turf compost for the owner to review.
  • Provide a unit price to supply and install an additional 30yds of turf compost for areas requiring additional material/ repair within the lower field playing area.
  • After compost installation, aerate the top-dressed surface to a target depth of 8 inches with a minimum aerification depth requirement of 6 inches.
  • Apply Athletic turf seed mix at a rate of 200 pounds per acre – seed mix to be Athletic Turf mix as supplied by Diamond Turf, or Owner approved equivalent to match the previously applied seed mix, to ensure a uniform turf type and growth.
  • Supply and apply a starter fertilizer throughout.
  • Finish drag to incorporate compost, cores, and seed into the surface, while maintaining the integrity of existing turf surface/ growth.
  • In the spring of 2025, the contractor will return to the site and utilize a minimally invasive vertical slice seeding method of seeding the lower field area at a rate of 140-160# per acre. Installation equipment to be Redexim Verti-seed or equal, to be reviewed by the owner. The final timeline of this seeding is determined/ coordinated by seasonal weather and may require adjustment to a dormant seeding schedule.
  • The main scope of this work (not including slice seeding) shall commence and be completed between August 28th and September 10th. Any deviations or recommendations for schedule change shall be reviewed by the owner prior to August 20th.
  • Meet local, state, and federal regulations for flood zones and flood plains. The soccer field is located in the flood plain.
