Description

Join the City of Vergennes’ leadership team as our City Clerk and serve our 2,500 residents. You’ll report to the City Manager and work collaboratively in a team environment with the City Manager, City Treasurer and Administrative Assistant. We offer a competitive benefit package!

Our City Clerk is responsible for recording and preserving the City’s public records as outlined in the City Charter and Vermont State Statute. This includes but is not limited to actions and agendas of the City Council, serving as Clerk of the Board of the Civil Authority, maintaining land records, minutes, permits, plates, vital records, licenses, tax information, and managing all election activities and records. This position also supports the general administrative and customer service functions of the office. Salary range $60,000-$65,000.
