Support Services Manager
Hiring range is $63,000 - $68,000, with an excellent benefits package.
The Colchester Police Department is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented manager to oversee all operational aspects of the Public Safety Dispatch and Police Records functions, including direct oversight of eight staff members. This full-time civilian position offers great work/life balance, with a schedule predominantly Monday through Friday during the daytime. Occasional availability on evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work with sensitive information, foster positive and constructive relationships with a variety of stakeholders in a work environment that is sometimes stressful. Good technical skills, to include proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with law enforcement software such as OpenFox, CAD/RMS desirable.
Associates degree in criminal justice, psychology, business or related field of study and at least three years of experience managing staff, preferably in law enforcement or an emergency services field. Equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered qualifying. NCIC terminal operator preferred. Successful applicants must be able to successfully pass a background investigation.
