Truck Driver - Vehicle #29

Supervisor: Foreman

Hours: 7:30 am — 3:30 pm
Pay Grade: 7

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Division: Streets
Union Position
Section: A

During the summer, operates the above vehicle chiefly for the purpose of hauling merchandise, equipment, or supplies.
In the winter months, operates the above vehicle chiefly for the purpose of snow plowing and removal, sanding, and salting.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Receives oral and written instructions from a foreman who is responsible for carrying out established policies and procedures.
Shall operate this vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
Hauls materials to and from work sites.
Operates the above vehicle during snow removal operations.
Performs minor maintenance and repair work on this vehicle.
Insures that operation of equipment follows good safety procedures.
Performs other related duties as required.
May be assigned to another job description under conditions defined in Article XXI of the Union Agreement.

Other:Valid Vermont driver's license.

Must have physical endurance and the ability to concentrate while operating equipment for long hours during snow clearing operations or other emergencies.
