Public Works Assistant — North Hero, Vermont
NOW HIRING!
The Town of North Hero is seeking a dependable, motivated individual to join our team as a Public Works Assistant.
The position includes road, grounds, and facilities maintenance, mowing, snow removal, equipment operation, and general public works duties.
The position is full-time and the hours are 6:30am to 2:30pm.
We’re looking for someone who:
· Enjoys working outdoors in all conditions year-round
· Is dependable and hardworking
· Can work independently and as part of a team
· Has a valid driver’s license
· CDL a plus -- but not required
· Has mechanical or public works experience -- a plus, but not required
Compensation: $20–$23/hour (depending on experience)
Bonus: $2,000 sign-on bonus

North Hero is a small, close-knit community located on beautiful Lake Champlain. The Town maintains approximately 18 miles of roads and offers a family-friendly environment and strong sense of community.
The Town is also nearing completion of a brand-new, beautiful municipal garage, providing an excellent new facility for our Public Works team.
