The Clerk/Treasurer's Office is hiring a Capital Program Director!
The Capital Program Director oversees the City’s Capital Program within the Department of Finance and Administration and in close coordination with the cross-departmental Capital Committee. This position is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development and administration of the City of Burlington General Fund Capital Plan. This includes but is not limited to planning for physical improvements or replacement of City owned capital assets, working with stakeholders to optimize and develop efficient financial strategies for annual and unexpected capital emergencies, and coordinating with the City’s Asset Manager to maintain the best level of public service across all City assets.
The Capital Program Director is responsible for working with the Capital Committee and the Administration to develop and publish a multi-year Capital Plan, the Annual Capital Budget, the policies and procedures to implement the Capital Plan, and timely tracking and reporting of the financial status of the Capital Plan through collaboration with all General Fund Departments and their capital asset project managers to initialize project budgets, implement projects, and reconcile project budgets upon completion. The Capital Program Director provides project management guidance to those departments that do not have the expertise to develop or manage their capital projects.

Pay Grade 23: $98,373.19 - $109,830.74 Annually
Remote Tier 2: Up to one (1) day remote/week
