The Town of St. Johnsbury is currently accepting applications for the full-time Custodial Maintenance position. This position is responsible for performing daily cleaning duties for Town facilities, addressing building repairs, and maintaining Town facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, painting, cleaning, shoveling, trash removal, mowing, and beautification. This position will also be responsible for overseeing maintenance contracts for mechanical operations, such as HVAC systems.

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a criminal background check.

Full-time employment offers competitive compensation with wages starting at $22 an hour, a generous benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, retirement and 457 plans, as well as ample vacation and sick time.
