What You'll Do
You'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of municipal vehicles and equipment, including:
- Light- and medium-duty vehicles
- Heavy-duty dump trucks and snowplows
- Loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment
- Emergency response vehicles
During winter operations, you'll also operate snow removal equipment—including plow trucks, wing trucks, and loaders—to help keep Stowe's roads safe and accessible.
Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light- to heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
- Vermont Inspection Mechanic Certification
- Valid Vermont CDL (Class A or B)
- Experience operating plow trucks and wing trucks preferred
- Diesel mechanic certification desirable
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to respond to emergencies, including nights, weekends, and snow events
