The Town of Danby is seeking qualified applicants to join its Highway Department road crew.
Primary responsibilities include operating heavy and light equipment; maintaining town roads, buildings, and facilities; and performing tasks such as road grading, trucking, snow plowing and sanding, road repair, brush clearing, and light building and facility maintenance. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, requiring a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays, as well as overtime. The Town of Danby Highway Department is represented by the United Steel Workers Local#4
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade school or equivalent experience
- Experience in roadway maintenance or related field
- Current, valid Vermont CDL
- Must pass a DOT physical and a drug test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.89 per hour
