Description

 The Town of Milton, Vermont has a great opportunity for a full-time Administrative Assistant II to work with our Human Resources as well as our Recreation and Parks departments. Serve as primary administrative assistant splitting time between those two departments. Facilitates the daily operations of those departments by performing a wide variety of administrative, customer service, clerical, filing, and writing tasks, in addition to special projects as assigned.

Work requires effective communication and coordination, exercising of judgment, initiative, and discretion based on knowledge of administrative or operating policies and procedures. A basic understanding of HR Generalist duties and Recreation & Parks department-related activities to support achievement of desired result. Requires adherence to policies and procedures, proficient computer skills, written and verbal communication skills, and accuracy of information provided to Town staff and the public.

The starting hourly pay range is $22.50 – $24.00, depending on experience and qualifications. This is an hourly, non-exempt, AFSCME union-track position. General hours of operations are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an hour for lunch.
