WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a Public Safety Dispatcher, you will:
Answer emergency and non-emergency calls from incoming telephone and special services lines to determine assistance required for the situation.
Relay necessary information to the appropriate sources, such as police officers, fire department field units, ambulance, mutual aid agencies, volunteers, local, county, state, or federal agencies.
Monitor basic radio communication channels for police/fire/ambulance, DPW, local government, and relay information to the appropriate authorites.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum one (1) year experience or training in radio or telephone communication. Pre-employment criminal background check and drug test required.
SALARY RANGE: $58,614.40 Annually
The Salary for this position is negotiable based on years of previous relevant experience.
