The Town is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for consultant services to prepare engineering design plans to meet compliance for two Flow Restoration Plan sites in Shelburne. Consultants are being given the opportunity to submit a separate cost proposal for each project but are encouraged to bid on both projects. 

The Town of Shelburne holds an MS4 permit and is leading projects to design and implementation to meet its FRP and PCP goals. Both sites listed above have issued 3-acre 9050 permits, but each have additional work needed before going to construction.

Shelburne Meadows Business Park has two gravel wetlands designed to retrofit two undersized and out of compliance ponds. This design has only accounted for the necessary current impervious to be treated. The Town would like to explore the feasibility of maximizing treatment for all impervious existing in the park and for future impervious expansions as one site is undeveloped and another is only about half developed. Maeck Farm has been designed to add a wet pond on an offsite property where the owner has agreed to host the practice. Further design work is needed to redesign the conveyance to the pond from a swale to a piped system, per the request of landowners. Additionally, a final grading plan to appease host property owners with a cut and fill analysis to determine quantity of material to be used for final grading on site. Additionally, the design must incorporate a tier 2 feature element to be eligible for funding.
