The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a qualified, experienced candidate for the position of Chief Wastewater Operator to manage the WRJ/Hartford and Quechee wastewater treatment systems, to include Wastewater treatment plants, community sanitary systems, and sanitary distribution systems.
Minimum qualifications include Current Vermont Grade 3DM Wastewater Certification; high school diploma or GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; supervision of two Assistant Chief Operators and related staff; valid driver’s license, ability to operate and repair equipment; and a team-player who is self-motivated.
This is a full-time position where pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $32.06 to $43.27 per hour. Benefits include VMERS retirement plan, health, dental, and life insurance, and 14 paid holidays.
