The Town of Milton, Vermont has a great opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join our highway department and work in the wonderful new 25,000 square foot public works facility. This is a semi-skilled position involving skilled and unskilled labor tasks and the operation of full-sized dump trucks and other equipment required for the maintenance, repair and construction of streets, sidewalks, grounds, equipment, facilities and other publicly owned property of the Town.
This is an hourly, non-exempt, AFSCME union-track position. General hours of operations are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Summer hours are four 10-hour days. Significant opportunity for overtime pay or comp time accrual during winter operations, which may include occasional nights and weekends.
