Line Painting Technicians
The Town of St. Johnsbury is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for seasonal maintenance positions. These seasonal roles assist with the maintenance and care of Town cemeteries and parks, and line painting during the summer months. These positions are a great opportunity for anyone that is looking to earn some money and still be able to enjoy summer with a four day work week. These positions also offer the advantageous opportunity to amplify college applications and resumes.
The Cemetery and Park Maintenance duties include, landscaping, groundskeeping, and general labor to ensure cemeteries & parks remain respectful, clean and well-kept. This position entails mowing lawns, trimming grass removing debris, leaves, and litter from gravesites walkways and town parks. Perform general grounds maintenance including planting flowers and shrubs, raking, watering, and pruning.
The Line Painting Technicians are responsible for painting lines for parking spaces, parking lots, and roadways. This position entails sweeping, prepping, and painting lines throughout the Town.
Employee safety is a top priority in these positions. Hired employees will be required to follow all safety procedures and protocols. Training will be provided for all candidates hired. The ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, be respectful and professional, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor in varying weather conditions. Experience in landscaping and groundskeeping is a plus. These positions work from May to August with the opportunity to work through October, with a starting hourly wage is $17.00.
