This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, public-facing environment and takes pride in accuracy, accountability, and professional conduct. The Assistant Town Clerk is a key contributor to daily operations and serves as a trusted resource for residents.
This is a 20-30 hour per week position with opportunity for growth and increasing responsibility.

Core Responsibilities
- Public counter and phone service
- Vital records processing
- Land record recording and indexing
- License and permit issuance
- Election support
- Payment processing and bookkeeping assistance
- Records management and administrative support
Bookkeeping experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Municipal experience and NEMRC preferred.
Compensation: $21–$24/hour DOQ
