WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a Public Safety Dispatcher, you will:
· Answer emergency and non-emergency calls from incoming telephone and special services lines to determine assistance required for the situation.
· Relay necessary information to the appropriate sources, such as police officers, fire department field units, ambulance, mutual aid agencies, volunteers, local, county, state, or federal agencies.
· Monitor basic radio communication channels for police/fire/ambulance, DPW, local government, and relay information to the appropriate authority.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum one (1) year experience or training in radio or telephone communication. Pre-employment criminal background check and drug test required.
SALARY RANGE: $58,614.40 Annually
The Salary for this position is negotiable based on years of previous relevant experience.
