Barton Village is seeking a Water Plant Facility Operator with a Class 4 license for the part-time position of Water Plant Operator. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the water treatment facility, including testing, monitoring, reporting, facility infrastructure, regulatory issues, training, and budgets. In addition, the Water Plant Operator will assist in the Department of Public Works and Wastewater Treatment Facility activities as needed.
Qualified candidates should have a VT Class 4 Operator license. Experience with ground water treatment systems is preferred. Knowledge of applicable codes, requirements and associated occupational hazards and safety requirements for public works utility industry are not required at the time of hiring but are expected to be developed as part of the position. A two-year college degree or equivalent technical education is preferred.
The hourly range is $30.00 - $35.00, depending on experience. This position will be open until it is filled. Barton Village is an equal opportunity employer.
