The Town of Windsor, Vermont is seeking an experienced public sector professional to serve as Town Manager. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative and engaging leadership style, deep knowledge of local government, and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Windsor (population 3,750) is a full service community located in the Connecticut River Valley at the base of Mt. Ascutney. New residents are attracted to the year round recreational offerings of the region, access to employment opportunities, and the safety and security of life in rural New England. Long term residents appreciate the stability of a community that is well managed where quality municipal services are a source of community pride.
The anticipated starting salary range is $145,000 to $165,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Windsor offers an excellent benefits package, including participation in the VMERS Group C defined benefit retirement plan, with eligibility for full retirement at age 55. Health insurance benefits include 90% coverage of the premium for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont Gold, or 100% coverage of the Silver or Bronze plans.
