The Town of Manchester, Vermont is the owner of the 200-year-old former Bennington County Courthouse located in the historic Village of Manchester. Manchester is seeking respondents to a Request for Proposals from qualified contractors to repair or replace, where necessary, the existing slate roof of the Courthouse building located on the corner of Main Street and Union Street in the Village of Manchester.
Bid responses from firms or individuals are due no later than Friday, March 13, 2026 at noon.

The point of contact throughout this process for the Town shall be Town Manager Scott Murphy, who
may be contacted at 802.362.1313 or the email identified above. Mr. Murphy shall act as the Town's
project manager, with assistance from Gordon Black, the Town's Municipal Assessor, if necessary. The
building can be open for inspection upon appointment by calling Gordon Black at 802.881.2712 between
