Job Opportunity: Seasonal Road Crew Employee with CDL

Location: Town of Sharon, VT

Position: Seasonal Road Crew

Duration: 2025 – 2026 Winter Season

Join the Town of Sharon Municipal Road Crew team in maintaining and improving our highways. We are looking for motivated individuals with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to help keep our roads safe this winter.

Responsibilities Include:

Operate snowplows, salt spreaders, and other highway maintenance equipment
Perform routine road maintenance tasks such as patching potholes, clearing debris, and repairing guardrails
Assist in emergency response operations during inclement weather
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
Experience in highway maintenance or similar field preferred
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
Drug and alcohol testing required

Benefits:

Competitive hourly wage up to $28/hour commensurate with experience
Opportunity for overtime pay
