The Town of Grafton, Vermont is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time working Highway Foreman. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations as the working supervisor of a 3-person Highway Crew. Experience in highway maintenance and repair, mechanical ability, computer, and record keeping skills, strong leadership, and a team player are required. Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Duties include year-round routine maintenance of highways and roads, minor bridge repairs, and equipment. Developing a strong highway team, positive relationships with colleagues in town government, and communication with the Selectboard and public are also required.
The starting wage for the position is $22-$35 per hour based on experience. The Town of Grafton is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and does offer an excellent benefits package.
