Description: Burlington, Vermont Fire Department is hiring a Lateral Firefighter!

An individual in this role is responsible for performing fire suppression, emergency medical care, hazardous material mitigation, technical-rescue incident mitigation, training, and fire prevention activities. Additionally, as a lateral transfer, firefighters in this position are expected to demonstrate competency in essential skills following a condensed fire academy. Regular attendance is necessary and is essential to meeting the expectations of the job functions.
